Some folks might think that this right already exists - but there are many issues that must be addressed to make it a part of daily life. For this basic right to exist she must:

• be free to carry a loaded weapon with her at all times - anywhere
• be free to buy and sell her weapon - anytime, anywhere
• be free to teach herself and her children gun safety and marksmanship
• be free to use her weapon in self defense without fear of prosecution
• be free to have her weapon loaded and ready

This site will include information about the CCW Law vs. open carry; gun show restrictions on buying and selling; target practice and training programs; trigger locks and the legal right of self defense. We will provide you with North Carolina specific information that applies to this list, both positive and negative. This site will also point you to information that may not be directly related to the above, but that we believe has an impact on these issues. We have chosen to use "she" as the gender reference simply because Second Amendment Sisters, Inc. is a womens' advocacy group. However, the basic right to self defense applies equally to every person.
