TN SAS Shoot Day another Success!
Barbara Oonk, our SAS TN Coordinator, wrote the following report on the shoot:
Hello, friends in Liberty!
I was surprised to see 13 women show up and literally freeze their hands off trying to shoot!! But, they all endured and came out for the better!! It was most definitely one of the coldest days I've ever spent out at the range!!
We had 3 winners of the Poker shoot out with our own SAS member Sara Kemp earning First Place!! Congratulations, Sara!! If you come by the SAS table at the gun shows, chances are, you'll see Sara there helping out!!
Second place and Third place were won by 2 new shooters, and non SAS members(at this point!), Rebecca Pearce, and Marjorie Miller, respectively! Congrats to those ladies, too!
We had 2 Most Improved shooters of the day.....These ladies were very new to shooting, and really worked hard all day, trying a couple of guns each, to see which would be best for them! The were non-SAS members Brooke Wilkes and Laura Butts!
All total, we had 6 SAS members there. Sara Kemp, Leslie Rohrer,(another gun show worker!!),Tammie Scott, (our SAS member that gives us the table at the gun show!) Amy Hardman (my first time meeting her!) me, and APPS staffer, Billie McFarland, and I shouldn't forget our male member, Buford Tune!
Thanks, again, for all the help and support from APPS and Greg and Mike and Jerry McFarland, and Kaye Edwards, too!! It was a very uncomfortable day to be out at the range, but they all came out and helped anyway!! I really appreciate it!!
A special thanks goes out to Buford Tune and his APPS staff, and instructors Greg Lee and Mike Sanders for their wonderful and insightful teachings!! Despite the cold, everyone seemed to have a great time and really learned a lot!! Thanks, guys!
I really appreciate all the help from everyone.
Yours in Liberty,
