We are frustrated that current gun laws are not being enforced and yet the misinformed are demanding more laws that will not deter violent offenders but will make it difficult for individual citizens to protect themselves and their children.
Make your voice heard! With all of the media hype surrounding the gun control vs. Bill of Rights debate, they need to hear what's really on our minds - our Second Amendment rights!
Do try to be calm and rational and polite... and to not end constructive discussion. We are all trying to reduce violence in our society; some people are just going about it in different ways. Keep that truth in mind and become familiar with gun and crime statistics. The facts are on our side! Educate yourself so you can educate others!
Also remember that handwritten notes carry more weight than computer-generated or typed letters, and that anything with a U.S. stamp on it gets more attention than an email.
